Simultaneous bilateral knee varus stress radiographic technique
This study aimed to describe, in detail, the authors’ preferred method to assess the lateral compartment opening in both knees simultaneously, which also avoids the need for the examiner to be present in the imaging room.

Limb length discrepancy on an 11-month-old boy with osteoid osteoma
This article describes the case of an 11-month-old boy with claudication, right lower limb shortening, and painless right leg volume increase. Image studies demonstrated an osteolytic lesion with small ossifications within, involved by right tibial diaphysis cortical thickening. The diagnostic hypotheses were osteoid osteoma, chronic osteomyelitis (Brodie's abscess), Ewing sarcoma, and Langerhans cell histiocytosis. Microorganism cultures were negative and the histopathological exam demonstrated osteoid osteoma. This report expands the knowledge on osteoid osteoma as a cause of painless limping and lower limb shortening in...

Anterior fixation of odontoid fractures: results
ConclusionDelayed diagnosis is still an issue in the treatment of odontoid fractures, especially in elderly patients. Concomitant lesions, especially in younger patients, are not uncommon. The literature presents high fusion rates with ORIF (≥80%), which was also observed in the present study. However, surgical success depends on proper patient selection and strict knowledge of the technique. This pathology presents a reserved functional prognosis in the medium-term, especially in the elderly.

Percutaneous autogenous bone marrow injection for delayed union or non-union of long bone fractures after internal fixation
ConclusionPercutaneous autologous bone marrow injection is an effective and safe method for the treatment of diaphyseal non-union and delayed union. Thus, it is concluded that with an adequate amount of autologous bone marrow injection, successful union in delayed union and non-union of fractures of long bones can be achieved.
