Thick graft vs. double-bundle technique on posterior cruciate ligament reconstruction: experimental biomechanical study with cadavers
Conclusions Graft enlargement improves knee stability in isolated PCL reconstructions, whereas the graft division in the two-bundle technique worsens this stability at 60° and 90° of knee flexion. The findings of this study suggest that knee stability in PCL reconstructions may be improved with the use of thicker grafts in a single-bundle technique rather than performing a double-bundle reconstruction. “Floating knee”, an uncommon injury: analysis of 12 cases
Conclusion Floating knee injuries are severe injuries and are usually associated with multi-organ injuries. Early detection and appropriate management of associated injuries, early fixation of fractures, and postoperative rehabilitation are needed for good outcome. Complications are frequent, in the form of delayed union, knee stiffness, and infection. (Source: Revista Brasileira de Ortopedia)

Prospective study of ultrasound-guided peri-plexus interscalene block with continuous infusion catheter for arthroscopic rotator cuff repair and postoperative pain control
Conclusion The quality of analgesia for arthroscopic rotator cuff repair with peri-plexus US-IBPB and continuous infusion with elastomeric pump presented superior postoperative analgesia quality to single puncture IBPB on postoperative days 2 and 3, with lower consumption of rescue opioids in this period. Comparative analysis of treatment of basicervical femur fractures in young adults with CCS, DHS, and PFN
Conclusion Multiple cancellous screws do not provide a sufficiently stable construct during fracture healing. PFN, although associated with lesser implant failures than CCS, have a higher incidence of technical errors. DHS provides sufficient stability in well-reduced basicervical fractures in young adults; it is associated with highest fracture union rates and best functional outcome out of the three implants at final follow-up.
