Beneficial effect of bilateral native nephrectomy as complete denervation on left ventricular mass and function in renal transplant recipients.
CONCLUSIONS    In a long-term follow-up of patients after kidney transplantation, the bilateral native nephrectomy before transplantation was associated with a lower LVMI and LAVI as well as a lower grade of LVDD. Incidence of chronic heart failure with preserved left ventricular ejection fraction in patients with hypertension and isolated mild diastolic dysfunction.
CONCLUSIONS Patients with isolated relaxation abnormalities constitute a clinically heterogeneous group because some of these individuals present with symptoms of HFPEF and a simultaneous increase in BNP levels. Therefore, a degree of diastolic dysfunction should be redefined, and it should be emphasized that these patients have a serious prognosis with the risk of HF. In diabetic patients, a positive correlation between higher doses of insulin (>80 units/day) and BNP levels requires further research. Identification of triple antiphospholipid antibody positive patients is platform and method independent.
CONCLUSIONS    These results confirm that triple aPL positivity has strong association with APS, and indicate that the identification of triple antibody positive patients is platform independent. The findings suggest that when aPL antibody profiles are considered, agreement between various methods is improved compared to agreement at the level of individual antibodies. Predictors of left atrial appendage thrombogenic milieu in patients subjected to transesophageal echocardiography prior to cardioversion of persistent atrial fibrillation.
CONCLUSIONS    CHA2DS2 -VASc scores did not discriminate between the presence/absence of TEE surrogate risk factors for thromboembolism in patients scheduled for CV due to persistent AF. Only one component of CHA2DS2 -VASc scale, radiographic evidence of aortic plaques, as well as TTE parameters, augmentation of the left atrium and left ventricular end-diastolic dimension, were independent predictors of TEE markers for LAA thrombogenic milieu.
