Phenotypic assays to determine virulence factors of Uropathogenic (UPEC) isolates and their correlation with antibiotic resistance pattern
Urinary tract infection caused by Uropathogenic Escherichia coli (UPEC) strains is one of the most important infections in the world. UPEC encode widespread virulence factors closely related with pathogenesis of the bacteria. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the presence of different phenotypic virulence markers in UPEC isolates and determine their correlation with antibiotic resistance pattern. Generation of Divalent DNA Vaccine Based on Gene of and () Gene of
The virulence factors such as shiga-like toxin (Stx) and immunogenic P39 protein in Escherichia coli and Brucella melitensis, respectively are related to disease of digestive system in human worldwide. In present study the stx2 and p39 genes were cloned into expression plasmid pEEF1D-FLAG (pcDNA 3.1+) as a divalent DNA vaccine candidate. (Source: Osong Public Health and Research Perspectives)
