Comparison of ProGlide vs. Prostar in patients undergoing transcatheter aortic valve implantation.
CONCLUSIONS: Use of ProGlide and Prostar as VCD of choice for TAVI appears similarly safe and effective, despite some potential benefits associated with Proglide. Further randomized trials are warranted to confirm or disprove these findings.

Central cardiovascular calcifications: supplementtion with Pycnogenol ® and Centellicum®: variations in 12 months.
CONCLUSIONS: This study shows that there is a significant activity of the complex Pycnogenol®+ Centellicum® in reducing the progressive diffusion of central cardiovascular calcifications - associated with advanced plaques - in a relatively short period of time. Longer studies - focusing also on events - may better evaluate the efficacy of these standardized supplements combination on the evolution of atherosclerosis.

Management of mild, primary Raynaud Syndrome: supplementation with Pycnogenol ®.
CONCLUSIONS: This pilot registry study suggests that Pycnogenol® may be used with significant advantages in primary, mild RS. Subjects using Pycnogenol® may control their symptoms and may avoid the need for more complex and, potentially dangerous or expensive treatments.

Sacubitril/valsartan improves left ventricular longitudinal deformation in heart failure patients with reduced ejection fraction.
CONCLUSIONS: The present retrospective cohort study demonstrates that the use of sacubitril / valsartan for HFREF patients, extended for a mean duration of 14 months, yields a significant improvement in the echocardiographic parameters of systolic function along the transverse ( LVEF)and longitudinal ( GLS) axes. For the GLS in particular a clear superiority emerges in comparison with conventional therapy including ACE-i or ARBs. Heart rate variability in sick sinus syndrome: does it have a diagnostic role?
CONCLUSIONS: SSS patients have a HRV profile characterized by: low HR, long NN max- min interval, and elevated pNN50, RMSSD, SDNN and SDNNi values with specific diagnostic cut-offs for diagnosis of SSS. Moreover, we found the absence of correlation between HR and all time-domain HRV variables in SSS patients.

NOACs for coronary or peripheral artery disease: a systematic review and meta-analysis of mortality and major bleeding.
CONCLUSIONSː NOACs reduced all-cause mortality in patients with or at risk for CAD or PAD, even though they increased the risk of major bleeding. Future studies regarding the best doses of NOACs are warranted.

Delayed progression of atherosclerosis and cardiovascular events in asymptomatic patients with atherosclerotic plaques; 3-year prevention with the supplementation with Pycnogenol ®+Centellicum®.
CONCLUSIONS: In conclusion, this study indicates that the combined supplementation with Pycnogenol+Centelicum® appears to control both the progression of atherosclerosis and the occurrence of cardiovascular events in this 3 year study. Larger studies, in a wider population with more complex and less standardized conditions may be needed.

Chronic venous insufficiency and venous microangiopathy: management with compression and Pycnogenol ®.
CONCLUSIONS: This "summer registry" study confirms the clinical and microcirculatory efficacy of Pycnogenol in CVI and venous microangiopathy. The study indicates the significant clinical role of Pycnogenol® (both as a single treatment and in association with compression) in the management, treatment and control of this common clinical problem.
