Correction of a skeletal Class III malocclusion during a pubertal growth spurt by bone-anchored maxillary protraction
Conclusion This case report suggests that bone-anchored maxillary protraction therapy is adequate for the correction of severe skeletal Class III malocclusion that occurs during pubertal growth spurts. (Source: Journal of the World Federation of Orthodontists)

Does correction of deep bite malocclusion in growing Class II patients using anterior bite plates induce changes in mandibular growth or position? A systematic review
Conclusions Low-quality evidence was revealed in the studies addressing the effect of bite opening in growing subjects with Class II deep bite malocclusion. Accordingly, the impact of early bite opening on the mandibular skeletal component is still questionable and requires further and more well-designed studies. Influence of the presence, congenital absence, or prior removal of third molars on recurrence of mandibular incisor crowding after orthodontic treatment: Systematic review and meta-analysis
Conclusion The presence of third molars had no repercussion on the irregularity index and intercanine width, thus the presence of third molars appear to exert no influence on the recurrence of crowding of mandibular incisors. (Source: Journal of the World Federation of Orthodontists)

Comparing orthodontic relapse of mandibular anterior teeth with traditional bonded versus magnetic retainers after 2  years of retention
Conclusions There are no significant differences in the efficacy of canine-to-canine retainers bonded to each tooth and the magnetic retainer. (Source: Journal of the World Federation of Orthodontists)

Dentoalveolar effects of nonextraction orthodontic treatment of moderate crowding: A comparison of conventional, active self-ligating, and passive self-ligating bracket systems
Conclusions Although there were no significant differences between CON and PSL in the patterns of changes for any of the variables studied, ASL showed some differences from either CON or PSL. All three groups showed statistically significant increases in AWs of maxillary or mandibular premolars. Although ASL seemed to have controlled the mandibular incisors better, the results need to be interpreted with caution, as the clinical significance of the differences seen could be limited under certain circumstances. Orthodontic treatment of Class III malocclusion with lower extraction and anchorage with mini implants: Case report
This article reports the case of an adult patient with Class III malocclusion with mandibular deviation to right side and right anterior and posterior crossbite treated by retraction of the lower teeth with the aid of mini implants in the retromolar region on both sides. The patient opted to not perform surgery for correction of facial asymmetry, thus the treatment consisted of asymmetric extraction (34 and 38) and placement of absolute anchorage devices distal to the lower second molars in the retromolar area, which assisted in the distal movement of the lower molars and retraction of the lower anterior teeth through spr...

Long-term stability of Class III malocclusion nonextraction treatment
Conclusions In the long-term, nonextraction Class III malocclusion treatment demonstrated clinical stability in 88.9% of the patients. The dentoskeletal improvements obtained with treatment remained stable during the posttreatment period. The greater amount of mandibular growth after active treatment was the major variable that determined instability of Class III malocclusion treatment. Cone-beam computed tomography evaluation of bone density of midpalatal suture before, after, and during retention of rapid maxillary expansion in growing patients
Conclusions Active phase of RME produced effective opening of the midpalatal suture with significant decreases in BD levels. The results revealed that are necessary more than 3 months for complete sutural recovery after RME, thus indicating in prepubertal patients, the recommendation to extend the retention time to 6 months to achieve the midpalatal suture remineralization. Comparison of scanning times for different dental cast materials using an intraoral scanner
Conclusion Intraoral dental scanners can be used to scan both yellow and white dental casts. It is time efficient for clinicians to use TDP if they are using yellow stone casts. The scanning time with orthodontic type III white stone is less than with yellow stone casts. (Source: Journal of the World Federation of Orthodontists)

Orthodontic treatment results evaluated for individual teeth according to the Objective Grading System
Conclusions Second molar teeth are the main contributors to OGS final score, specifically right second molar inclination. Interproximal spaces are the least relevant aspects to the score. Knowledge of differential tooth and variable contribution is useful to the clinician's care of relevant details. (Source: Journal of the World Federation of Orthodontists)

Conclusion The incisors with ARR showed a significantly greater angulation and shorter distance from the root apex to the lingual cortical bone when compared with the incisors without ARR. (Source: Journal of the World Federation of Orthodontists)
