Development of a life satisfaction scale by Item Response Theory
Conclusion There are few studies that have their focus directed to life satisfaction in Brazil, and those who somehow discussed, only included a specific question about happiness or life satisfaction, especially in studies on subjective well-being. Risk of suicide and psychiatric comorbidities in generalized anxiety disorder
Conclusion The prevalence of GAD in outpatient clinical samples was significantly higher than in the general population, mainly in the psychiatric clinic. The majority of the patients presented psychiatric comorbidity, especially mood disorders besides presenting risk of suicide. Psychometric properties of the Social Responsiveness Scale-2 (SRS-2) for Autism Spectrum Disorder
Conclusion The results of this study showed that the Portuguese version of SRS-2 can be used as a screening tool to improve the recognition of ASD in Brazilian children and adolescents. Prevalence of depressive and anxiety symptoms in medical students in the city of Santos
Conclusion The data obtained in this study (30%) agreed with the literature regarding the prevalence of depressive symptoms in medical students, but this index was higher compared to the population in general (15.1% to 16.8%), and related to people in São Paulo city (18.5%). Concerning anxiety the rates found were slightly lower than those in specific literature but higher than those in literature for the population in general (8% to 18%) and in city São Paulo (16.8%). Risk indicators for attempted suicide for poisoning: a study case-control
Conclusions Being financially dependent on others, having suffered sexual abuse in childhood, having suicidal ideation, a family history of mental disorders and having psychiatric comorbidities were considered indicators of risk in the case group. The regression model demonstrated up to a 94.0% greater chance of attempted suicide by poisoning in the joint presence of four factors. Prevalence and factors associated with the decline in the elderly with cognitive low economic condition: MONIDI study
Conclusion The prevalence of cognitive decline observed was high and was associated with older age and with fewer years of schooling.
