Conclusion Despite the variability among methods and results, the presence of disordered eating behaviors is highly frequent among bariatric surgery candidates, and could emerge or get worse after surgery. Serum zinc levels in hospitalized patients with depression
Conclusion The results of this study show that serum zinc levels in patients using antidepressants and other psychiatric medications, hospitalized for bipolar disorder in depressive episode, compared with patients with depression did not differ and were within the normal range. Body image in pregnant women: a longitudinal study
Conclusions The body attitudes, eating attitudes, depressive symptoms, self-esteem and anxiety remained constant throughout pregnancy. BMI and eating attitudes influenced the body image in pregnant women. It was suggested the creation of specific instruments in order to better understand the body concerns of pregnant women. High rates of relapse in adolescents crack users after inpatient clinic discharge
Conclusion This is one of the first studies that show the extremely high prevalence of early relapse in adolescent crack users after discharge, questioning the cost/benefit of inpatient treatment for this population. Empathy and facial expression recognition of basic and complex emotions in medical students
Conclusion The number of correct responses to sadness emotion in the REF and the total score of RMEt was higher in female students compared to male. In addition, empathy seems to be directly related to the ability to recognize sadness. The role of memantine in anxiety disorders: an evidence-based review
Conclusion The current available evidence suggests the benefit of memantine as an adjunctive therapy for the treatment for obsessive compulsive disorder (SORT B). Long-term effects of smoking cessation support in primary care: results of a two-year longitudinal study in Brazil
Conclusions Although not all patients who were enrolled in the program could be contacted for the study, our results indicate that about 40% of patients are able to stay smoke-free for at least three months due to the smoking cessation program, but less than 20% are able to remain smoke-free for two years.
