Are multiple preauricular pits connected with each other?
Congenital preauricular sinus is a common otological disorder, and preauricular fistulectomy is one of the most popular procedures in otologic surgery. Occasionally, multiple pits are observed in the preauricular area; these could be independent sinuses or a single sinus with multiple openings. Here, I present four cases of preauricular fistula with multiple preauricular pits and I describe my surgical experience in treating the condition. An unusual case of an infected preauricular pit in a child
We present a case of a child, with a suspected infected PPS and localized furunculosis whose infection was recalcitrant to standard antibiotics and no recent travel history. On exam, a preauricular (PA) circular puncta with localized cellulitis, pruritus, and tenderness was found. During operative exploration, the PA infection was found to represent cutaneous furuncular myiasis (FM) from a botfly larva. (Source: International Journal of Pediatric Otorhinolaryngology Extra)

Neurothekeoma of the tongue in a 9-year-old child: Case report and literature review
We report a case of cellular neurothekeomas of the tongue in a 9-year-old female child. A contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance showed a submucosal lesion in the posterior third of the tongue that stretched deep into the intrinsic muscles. On immunohistochemical the lesion was negative for S-100 protein emphasizing their lack of relationship to nerve sheath myxoma and other nerve sheath tumors. A rare association: unilateral fibromatosis colli and contralateral clavicle fracture in a newborn
Fibromatosis colli (FC) is a cause of muscular torticollis that can be diagnosed by careful physical examination. In most of the cases, follow up and exercise is enough for treatment, although rare cases require surgical intervention. Clavicle fracture can be a complication of struggling vaginal parturition and usually treated by close follow up. This case was reported and discussed as a rare association that is not found in the literature and the first case diagnosed in the newborn period with unilateral FC associated with contralateral clavicle fracture in a non-macrosomic infant who was treated with dramatic response to...

Lymphoid papillary hyperplasia of palatine tonsils: a rare pediatric case from Turkey
We report a case of this rare condition in a 13-year-old girl. To our best knowledge, this case is the only pediatric Turkish case of LPH reported in the literature. The significance of recognizing this abnormality lies in its clinical appearance, given the fact that despite the clinical characteristics suggesting a diagnosis of epithelial papilloma or even malignancy, this process is benign, non-neoplastic, can readily be differentiated from other neoplastic lesions by histologic examination, and can easily be cured by tonsillectomy. Combined endoscopic and open approach in treating congenital laryngeal web
Laryngeal webs are rare and present with varied symptoms depending on the length of the web occupying the glottis. The patients present with voice and airway problems. Advanced webs have a longer glottic length involvement and web-associated cartilaginous subglottic stenosis. Adequate treatment of a laryngeal web must restore an optimal airway and give a near normal quality of voice. Both endoscopic and open procedures are used for the treatment of congenital laryngeal webs, each having their share of advantages and drawbacks.
