Who will be lost? Identifying patients at risk of loss to follow ‐up in Malawi. The DREAM Program Experience
ConclusionsEducated, urbanized HIV‐infected adults living far from programme centres are at high risk of LTFU, particularly if there is no maternal figure in the household. These variables must be taken into consideration when developing retention strategies. (Source: HIV Medicine)

Cytochrome 2B6 polymorphism and efavirenz ‐induced central nervous system symptoms : a substudy of the ANRS ALIZE trial
ConclusionsThe deficient CYP2B6 516 T allele is associated with higher efavirenz plasma drug levels and more frequent CNS‐related symptoms. (Source: HIV Medicine)

HIV incidence in an open national cohort of men who have sex with men attending sexually transmitted infection clinics in England
ConclusionsAnnual HIV incidence among MSM attending STI clinics in England is high. Previous STIs were predictors of HIV acquisition but only accounted for one in five infections. More discriminatory behavioural predictors of HIV acquisition could provide better triaging of HIV prevention services for MSM attending STI clinics. (Source: HIV Medicine)

HIV continuum of care in Europe and Central Asia
ConclusionsWe present continuum data from multiple countries that provide both a snapshot of care provision and a baseline against which changes over time in care provision across Europe and Central Asia may be measured. To better inform HIV testing and treatment programmes, standard data collection approaches and definitions across the HIV continuum of care are needed. If countries wish to ensure an unbroken HIV continuum of care, people living with HIV need to be diagnosed promptly, and ART needs to be offered to all those diagnosed. (Source: HIV Medicine)

Plasma trough concentrations of darunavir/ritonavir and raltegravir in older patients with HIV ‐1 infection
ConclusionsThe mean plasma Ctrough of darunavir and ritonavir was significantly higher in older patients than in younger patients with HIV‐1 infection, while the mean plasma level of raltegravir was comparable in the two groups. However, both regimens showed good tolerability in both younger and older subjects. (Source: HIV Medicine)

Specialist care of older adults with HIV infection in the UK: a service evaluation
ConclusionsWe identified two existing and three proposed HIV ageing services. Another 20 clinics (20%) reported an unmet need for a specialist ageing service, suggesting that complex older adults may pose a management challenge. This is the first survey of its kind to attempt to describe the current landscape and opinion around such services. HIV‐infected cohorts will continue to age and current models of care may be insufficient, which should prompt services, their users and commissioners to consider what models may best fit current and future demand. The cascade of HIV care among refugees and nationals in Nakivale Refugee Settlement in Uganda
ConclusionsLess than a quarter of newly HIV‐diagnosed clients completed ART assessment, considerably lower than in other reports from sub‐Saharan Africa. Understanding which factors hinder linkage to and engagement in care in the settlement will be important to inform interventions specific for this environment. (Source: HIV Medicine)
