Une base de l ’émotionalité (valence, arousal, catégories) de 1286 mots français selon l’âge (EMA)
Conclusion La base EMA fournit ainsi un nouvel outil pour les études chez l’adulte utilisant des mots émotionnels, en particulier celles portant sur le fonctionnement cognitif lié à l’âge ou spécifique à une tranche d’âge donnée. Introduction/aim Several studies have shown that the effects of word emotionality on its processing depend on both its valence and its arousal. Such effects also varied with age. However, in French, there is no norm providing both valence and arousal estimates for words not directly referring to an emotion. That was the aim of this study. Moreover, the base of word emotionality acc...

Stroop interference and development: Influence of expectation on color-naming response times
Conclusion A reduction of the cost associated with increasing neutral stimulus set size with age was also observed, revealing the development of expectation processes. The regression analysis linking the data of the two experiments confirmed the impact of expectancies on color-naming but not on word reading. The analysis also supported the idea that the Stroop effect is in part due to expectation. (Source: European Review of Applied Psychology)

Conclusion L’IAE est désormais disponible en français avec des qualités psychométriques satisfaisantes. Introduction Climate change has made it necessary to develop valid tools for studying pro-environmental behaviors. Objectives The present study assessed the validity of the French translation of the brief version of Milfont and Duckitt's (2010) Environmental Attitudes Inventory. We chose this scale for its psychometric properties, its ability to predict behaviors, its theoretical foundations, and its use in many countries. In addition to the translation, we tested a shortened, 12-item version of the scale. Me...
