Does bariatric surgery reduce cancer risk? A review of the literature
Conclusions Bariatric surgery may have a protective effect from overall cancer risk, mainly in women, but additional research is needed. Further research is also required to better examine the relationship between bariatric surgery and risk of colorectal cancer before confirming or dismissing the above reported higher risk, as well as the risk of esophagogastric cancer, which has not been adequately studied to date. Postpartum metabolic control in a cohort of women with type 1 diabetes
Conclusions Pregnant women with T1D return to prepregnancy body weight one year after delivery, especially those with lower HbA1c levels and BMI before pregnancy. Longer period of oral administration of aspartame on cytokine response in Wistar albino rats
Conclusion The findings clearly point out that aspartame acts as a chemical stressor because of increased corticosterone level and increased lipid peroxidation and nitric oxide level induce generation of free radicals in serum which may be the reason for variation of cytokine level and finally results in alteration of immune function.
