Publication date: 2014 Source:Egyptian Journal of Basic and Applied Sciences, Volume 1, Issue 1 Author(s): Vineet K. Srivastava , Sunil Kumar , Mukesh K. Awasthi , Brajesh Kumar Singh In this article, a mathematical model has been developed for the generalized time fractional–order biological population model (GTFBPM). The fractional derivative has been described in the Caputo sense. The model has been solved by a recent approximate analytic method so called the fractional reduced differential transform method (FRDTM). Using this method, it is possible to find the exact solution as well as closed approximate solu...

Effect of load on the wear behaviour of polypropylene/carbonized bone ash particulate composite
Publication date: 2014 Source:Egyptian Journal of Basic and Applied Sciences, Volume 1, Issue 1 Author(s): F. Asuke , M. Abdulwahab , V.S. Aigbodion , O.S.I. Fayomi , O. Aponbiede The effect of applied load on the wear behaviour of polymer matrix composites produced using carbonized bone particles (CBp) as reinforcement has been studied. The addition of the CBp ranges from 5 to 20 wt% in the polypropylene matrix. The composites were produced by compounding and compressive moulding. The wear test was conducted by varying the applied load from 5 to 15 N. Microstructures of the worn surface were assessed with high ...

Analytical approximations of two and three dimensional time-fractional telegraphic equation by reduced differential transform method
Publication date: 2014 Source:Egyptian Journal of Basic and Applied Sciences, Volume 1, Issue 1 Author(s): Vineet K. Srivastava , Mukesh K. Awasthi , Sunil Kumar In this article, an analytical solution based on the series expansion method is proposed to solve the time-fractional telegraph equation (TFTE) in two and three dimensions using a recent and reliable semi-approximate method, namely the reduced differential transformation method (RDTM) subjected to the appropriate initial condition. Using RDTM, it is possible to find exact solution or a closed approximate solution of a differential equation. The accuracy, ef...

Distribution of zeros of solutions of self-adjoint fourth order differential equations
Publication date: 2014 Source:Egyptian Journal of Basic and Applied Sciences, Volume 1, Issue 1 Author(s): S.H. Saker , Donal O'Regan In this paper, for self-adjoint fourth order differential equations, we establish some lower bounds on the distance between zeros of a nontrivial solution and also lower bounds on the distance between zeros of a solution and/or its derivatives. We also give new results related to boundary value problems which arise in the bending of rods. The main results will be proved by making use of some generalizations of Hardy, Opial and Wirtinger type inequalities. (Source: Egyptian Journal of B...

Conclusion This case–control analysis confirmed that the Pro/Pro (C/C) genotype and the Pro (C) allele of TP53 codon 72 are associated with increased risk of HCC in HCV-infected patients. Additionally, the data suggest that the plasma TP53 level is downregulated in HCC. (Source: Egyptian Journal of Basic and Applied Sciences)
