Biological disasters and their relation to public health: an analysis of articles published in the State of Paraná, Brazil
This study emphasizes the relationship between biological disasters and public health through the systematization of the articles produced by institutions of the State of Paran á in the last few decades. These were selected using key words defined in Codar and Cobrade in the Journal Portals of the Capes, Web of Science, Scopus, PubMed, Redulac, Spell, SciELO, Medline and Bireme databases. Underreporting of AIDS deaths in Brazil: linkage of hospital records with death certificate data
In conclusion, this study demonstrated that, through linkage in between SIH and SIM, it is possible to find underreporting of AIDS deaths in Brazil. The effect of municipalization in the Brazilian hospital system: the small-sized hospitals
This study evaluated the National Policy for Small-sized Hospitals (PNHPP) published in 2004, and its impact on the Brazilian hospital sector. Twelve of the 27 states adhered to the PNHPP. In the absence of policies to induce the establishment of a networked hospital system, favoring comprehensive actions, the municipalization pulverized hospital care. Municipal managers believed that this was the best path to meet health needs.
