Aberrant Expression of CUL4A Is Associated with IL-6/ STAT3 Activation in Colorectal Cancer Progression
Although it has been indicated that the cytokine interleukin-6 (IL-6) promotes colorectal cancer (CRC) tumorigenesis in tumor microenvironment, the mechanisms related to IL-6-induced tumor progression are still not well understood. (Source: Archives of Medical Research)

Effect of Hydroxytyrosol on Human Mesenchymal Stromal/Stem Cell Differentiation into Adipocytes and Osteoblasts
Natural phenolic compounds are known for their antioxidant capacity, showing biological activity in numerous physiological processes. Such chemicals have been proposed for prevention or treatment of pathologies like osteoporosis and diabetes. One of these is hydroxytyrosol (HT), which may be involved in the differentiation of human mesenchymal stromal/stem cells (MSCs), which are precursors of osteoblasts and adipocytes. Yet, little information is available. Therefore, our objective was to study the possible effect of HT on MSC differentiation. (Source: Archives of Medical Research)

Fecal Microbiota Transplantation in Combination with Soluble Dietary Fiber for Treatment of Slow Transit Constipation: A Pilot Study
Intestinal microbiota and soluble dietary fiber play an important role in intestinal microecology, which is closely related to gut motility. Regulating intestinal microecology comprised of fecal microbiota transplantation (FMT) or fiber supplementation is becoming a novel therapy for functional gastrointestinal disease. We launched this study to evaluate the efficacy and safety of FMT combined with fiber for slow transit constipation (STC). (Source: Archives of Medical Research)

Evaluation of the Clinical Significance of Serum Carcinoembryonic Antigen in Patients with Resectable Gastric Adenocarcinoma
Carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) is the most commonly used tumor marker for gastrointestinal cancers but its value for resectable gastric adenocarcinoma (RGA) patients in areas of high GA incidence is uncertain. (Source: Archives of Medical Research)

Virological Determinants of Spontaneous Postpartum e Antigen Seroconversion and Surface Antigen Seroclearance in Pregnant Women Infected with Hepatitis B Virus
We investigated the virological factors predicting spontaneous postpartum hepatitis B e antigen (HBeAg) seroconversion and hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg) seroclearance in pregnant women infected with hepatitis B virus (HBV). (Source: Archives of Medical Research)
