Evaluation and Management of the Child with Hypothyroidism.
CONCLUSION: To optimize neurocognitive outcome in infants with congenital hypothyroidism, treatment with levothyroxine should be started as soon as possible, preferably within the first two weeks of life. Children with acquired hypothyroidism should also be treated early to ensure normal growth and development as well as cognitive outcome. The enriched proanthocyanidin extract of Ligaria cuneifolia shows a marked hypocholesterolemic effect in rats fed with cholesterol-enriched diet.
CONCLUSION: Essentially, the treatment with PLc, despite the duration produces a modification in hemorheological parameters approaching the values of the experimental group with standard diet. Gynecomastia in Infants, Children, and Adolescents.
CONCLUSION: The majority of cases are physiological and do not require treatment other than reassurance. For pathological cases, the underlying cause should be treated if possible.
