The awareness of epidermal parasitic skin diseases among patients with mental health problems and alcohol addiction of the Provincial Complex of Psychiatric Health in Olsztyn
Conclusions The general level of knowledge in patients with mental health problems and alcohol addiction on EPSD is satisfactory. Almost half of the respondents showed a fragmentary knowledge concerning the prophylaxis of EPSD, symptoms and sources of pediculosis and scabies infection. Health education should primarily concern the prevention of pediculosis and scabies, and strengthen the patients’ awareness of spread easiness these parasites in the environment. Chronic kidney disease in elderly – Fact or fiction?
Conclusions Stage 3 CKD (eGFR<60mL/min/1.73m2) in patients aged 65 years or older seems to be a “benign” finding with no important clinical consequences. Synthesis, characterization and pharmacological evaluation of certain sulfonamide containing heterocyclic motifs
Conclusions Antibacterial activity studies indicate that nitro and halo substituted sulfonamides of each series were more active than the other members. A detailed analysis from virtual screening data led to the conclusion that all these compounds are potential HMG-CoA reductase inhibitors and within each series, nitro substituted sulfonamide has demonstrated least drug score.
