Interleukin ‐7 receptor α‐chain haplotypes differentially affect soluble IL‐7 receptor and IL‐7 serum concentrations in children with type 1 diabetes
ConclusionsChildren with T1D carrying autoimmunity risk‐ or protection‐associated IL7RA haplotypes had both lower sIL‐7R serum concentrations as compared to the reference haplotype, but only T1D children with the protective haplotype had lower IL‐7 serum levels. Our results suggest additional functional mechanisms of autoimmunity‐associated IL7RA variants independent from sIL‐7R mediated regulation of IL‐7 availability for T cells. The influence of food order on postprandial glucose levels in children with type 1 diabetes
ConclusionsThis study shows that consumption of protein and fat prior to carbohydrates results in lower postprandial glucose levels and reduced glycemic variability in children with T1D. (Source: Pediatric Diabetes)

Sex ‐related association of serum uric acid with inflammation, kidney function and blood pressure in type 1 diabetic patients
ConclusionsSerum UA is associated with nephropathy prevalence, albeit only in boys with T1D and may be an important risk factor for predicting diabetes‐related cardiorenal complications in these patients. (Source: Pediatric Diabetes)
