Ostre łagodne dziecięce zapalenie mięśni. Okiem lekarza i okiem rodzica
Conclusions Polish physicians are insufficiently familiar with the symptoms and causes of BACM. Every child with this diagnosis should be examined by a doctor and should have laboratory tests performed. This allows differentiating BACM from other diseases with poor prognosis. In the flu season, physicians need to consider BACM as a cause of altered gait. Pediatricians should recommend vaccination against influenza to their patients. (Source: Pediatria Polska)

Laparoscopic assistance enables percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy (PEG) in patients after prior abdominal and gastric surgery. Case series and review of the literature
Conclusions We believe that laparoscopic assistance diminishes the risk of major complications related to the PEG tube insertion procedure in children after previous laparotomy. Furthermore, adequate fixation of the stomach to the abdominal wall during LAP-PEG prevents the development of leakage and peritonitis. LAP-PEG should be considered the method of choice for obtaining enteral access in children after prior abdominal and especially gastric surgeries. (Source: Pediatria Polska)
