Impalpable Testicular Seminoma Identified on Sonoelastography
We describe a 34-year-old man who presented with an incidental finding of an impalpable hypoechoic testicular mass on grayscale ultrasound during an infertility work-up. Sonoelastography was performed displaying intermediate testicular elastic properties. Upon frozen section of the mass during surgical exploration, classic testicular seminoma was diagnosed and subsequent radical orchiectomy was performed. We would like to use this atypical presentation of testicular seminoma to review the potential role of elastography for diagnosing testicular cancer. (Source: Journal of Medical Ultrasound)

Factors Associated with No or Insufficient Temporal Bone Window using Transcranial Color-Coded Sonography
Conclusion The failure rate of temporal bone window was considered high as compared to Western countries but, not surprisingly, age and sex remained the significant factors. Introducing echo contrast agents during the TCCS examination might help to increase the success rate of TCCS examination and provide useful information to clinicians. Ultrasound-guided Transcutaneous Embolization of Uterine Arteriovenous Fistula Performed for Treatment of Symptomatic, Heavy Vaginal Bleeding: Case Report with Brief Review of Literature
In this report, ultrasound guided transcutaneous embolization of a uterine arteriovenous malformation, using color Doppler, was successfully performed in one patient with intractable vaginal bleeding. There were no complications following the procedure, and complete cessation of blood flow in the uterine arteriovenous malformation was achieved. This technique may be an alternative treatment option for recurrent heavy vaginal bleeding secondary to uterine arteriovenous malformation. (Source: Journal of Medical Ultrasound)

Diagnostic Value of Conventional and Doppler Ultrasound Findings in Liver Fibrosis in Patients with Chronic Viral Hepatitis
Conclusion Based on these findings, one can conclude that US may be an accurate, noninvasive alternative modality for the diagnosis of liver fibrosis, with fewer side effects than biopsy. It may be especially useful for repetitive follow-up of patients. (Source: Journal of Medical Ultrasound)

Ultrasound-guided Perineural Vitamin B12 Injection for Peripheral Neuropathy
The objective of this article is to present an innovative treatment for peripheral neuropathy using ultrasound-guided perineural vitamin B12 injection. A 37-year-old patient presented with a progressive dropped foot for 2 months. Preceding trauma was denied. On examination, severe weakness of ankle dorsiflexion was revealed. Ultrasound showed peroneal nerve swelling. Nerve conduction velocity and electromyography study showed results compatible with peroneal neuropathy. Under the diagnosis of peroneal neuropathy, the patient was given 500 μg of methylcobalamin around the peroneal nerve under ultrasound guidance two times...

Contrast-enhanced Ultrasound of Kidneys in Children with Renal Failure
Publication date: June 2015 Source:Journal of Medical Ultrasound, Volume 23, Issue 2 Author(s): Jeevesh Kapur, Henry Oscar Ultrasound (US) has been an important tool for evaluating and imaging renal pathology in children. Development of US contrast agents and dedicated software for the detection of microbubbles has given this radiological investigation a new dimension, especially in children with renal impairment. Application of contrast-enhanced US (CEUS) brings US into the domain historically occupied by computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging. We retrospectively studied nine children who had undergone...

Radiologic Imaging in Meckel Diverticulum Complications
We present an article depicting the radiologic and histologic findings in a series of Meckel's diverticulum within the pediatric population seen within our institution. We present this series to underscore the importance of high clinical suspicion in the early diagnosis and management of Meckel's diverticulum and to examine further the radiologic and therapeutic protocols within the pediatric population based on our local experience.
