Respiratory manifestations in late-onset Pompe disease: a case series conducted in Brazil
Conclusions: In this case series, the time from symptom onset to diagnosis was long. Although respiratory signs or symptoms were not the initial manifestations of the disease, 66.7% of the patients showed reduced FVC% in the sitting and supine positions at diagnosis.RESUMO Objetivo: Descrever a fun ção respiratória em uma série de pacientes com doença de Pompe de início tardio após o diagnóstico definitivo e antes do início do tratamento através de terapia de reposição enzimática. Association of tuberculosis with multimorbidity and social networks
ABSTRACT The combination of tuberculosis with other diseases can affect tuberculosis treatment within populations. In the present study, social network analysis of data retrieved from the Mexican National Epidemiological Surveillance System was used in order to explore associations between the number of contacts and multimorbidity. The node degrees were highest for individuals with tuberculosis + HIV infection (p< 0.04) and lowest fo...

Phenotypes of asthma in low-income children and adolescents: cluster analysis

Métodos: Foram avaliados 25 pacientes com diagnóstico de DPOC, classificados de acordo com critérios da Global Initiative for Chr onic Obstructive Lung Disease, e 25 indivíduos saudáveis.
