Characteristically, since the start of the economic crisis in Greece (2009), unemployment increased from 9.5% in 2009 to 23.1% in 2016, showing a continuous upward trend over the last years1. In 2010, 44.6% of the unemployed were long-term unemployed (>12 months), while in 2015 that figure reached 70.3%2. In 2015, world unemployment rates were 5.8% and 9.5% for EU countries3. Water, Wine and the Sacred, An Anthropological View of Substances Altered by Intentioned Awareness, including Objective and Aesthetic Effects
This paper discusses the ancient anthropological linkage of water and wine with sacred rituals after these substances have been the focus of nonlocal perturbation. The paper reports the changes produced can be both physical, as well as a subjective aesthetic reaction arising when individuals have a sensorial interaction with such treated substances. In making this argument the paper presents and discusses research done by others, as well as the author including reporting the results of a 12 part series of experiments in which groups of seven people tasted wine from one 750ml bottle that had been decanted into two identical...

Mindfulness for Healthcare Providers: The Role of Non-Reactivity in Reducing Stress
The inverse correlation between stress and happiness is not only intuitive, but it is well supported in the literature.(1, 2) In the context of healthcare providers, the antagonistic effects of stress not only permeate the provider's life, but also carry the potential to negatively impact patient care.(3) Given the intensive nature of working in healthcare, and the high prevalence of healthcare provider burnout,(4) it is imperative to find ways to increase happiness and overall well-being and decrease stress in healthcare providers. Women's ecofeminist spirituality: Origins and applications to psychotherapy
From a psychological perspective, there are a large number of scientific articles that show evidence of a faith-healing association. Undoubtedly, contemporary psychology can accommodate the healing power of faith, both empirically and in theory. 1 In this paper, we look closely at spiritual movements stemming from the “Divine Feminine,” 2 This is a model of spiritual ecofeminism that English-speaking female writers refer to as “earth-based,” where immanence supersedes transcendence, and God is a Goddess. “It is, therefore, of great practical value to be imbued by an honest, healthy skepticism which leads to great watchfulness and to a frequent re-examination of the apparently secure old principles... many statements which are recorded as facts are nothing more than biased subconscious conclusions” 1SJ Meltzer, MD. 1908 (Source: Explore)

Exceptional experiences reported by scientists and engineers
: Throughout history people have reported exceptional experiences that appear to transcend the everyday boundaries of space and time, such as perceiving someone's thoughts from a distance. Because such experiences are associated with superstition, and some violate currently accepted materialist conventions, one might assume that scientists and engineers would be much less likely to report instances of these experiences than the general population. Remission of Microscopic Polyangiitis using Traditional Chinese Medicine: A Case Report
Microscopic polyangiitis (MPA) is a systemic disease described as necrotizing vasculitis that affects capillaries, venules and arterioles. Hormone-based immunosuppression therapy is the common treatment, but with severe side effects. Hence, non-hormone or low-hormone therapies may be another option. Here we report a case of a MPA patient, who was first diagnosed MPA at the age of 56, experienced a number of recurrences from 63 to 70 that were successfully controlled by Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) alone or with low-dose hormone.
