Cancer care has significantly improved in recent years; chances for cure or long-term survival have increased, and the provision of effective symptom relief and palliative support has improved. Patient-centered care, addressing emotional and spiritual issues, and fostering shared, informed decision-making are seen to be key goals in high-quality cancer care.1-3 Still, more than half of all cancer patients seek integrative cancer care (ICC),4-8 frequently without the knowledge of their primary oncologist.
