Fly-Management Strategies for Horse Owners

But, unfortunately, horse owners are in the dark about how best to manage flies because research just hasn't been done, according to a new overview of equine fly management in the latest issue of the Journal of Integrated Pest Management, an open-access journal that is written for farmers, ranchers, and extension professionals.

New Resource to Help Manage the Olive Fruit Fly

New Book: Memoirs of Black Entomologists
Sleeping in graveyards, picking worms off tobacco crops, and battling cultural and familial perceptions—these are just some of the stories chronicled in Memoirs of Black Entomologists, a new book published by the Entomological Society of America (ESA). The collection of memoirs gives an inside look at the childhood, university, and career experiences of 20 successful black entomologists from around the globe, including the challenges they overcame and the mentors who inspired them.

ESA Issues Statement on Tick-borne Diseases
