Healing of soft tissue lacerations in diabetic induced rats
ConclusionThe results suggest that oral mucosa wound healing is delayed in diabetic Wistar rats compared to nondiabetic rats in terms of wound closure, angiogenesis, and polymorphonuclear cells number. Furthermore, it is also suggested that wound healing is impaired both in the early and late stages of soft tissue wound healing. This article is protected by copyright. All rights reserved. Perception of parents and self ‐reports of children regarding the impact of traumatic dental injury on quality of life
ConclusionsThe impact of oral problems on the OHRQoL of the preschool children was high. A greater number of injured teeth, the presence of toothache and socioeconomic factors were associated with poorer OHRQoL, based on the reports of both the parents/caregivers and children. The occurrence of non‐complicated TDI was a protective factor for OHRQoL.This article is protected by copyright. All rights reserved. (Source: Dental Traumatology)

Tooth autotransplantation as a pillar for 3D regeneration of the alveolar process after severe traumatic injury: A case report
Abstract In dental traumatology, the loss of teeth and the supporting alveolar bone in children compromise the proper development of maxillofacial structures and also limit the solutions that can be offered. In this case report, multidisciplinary management is described of a child with a significant loss of alveolar bone and associated teeth due to a traffic accident at 8 years of age. The management involved staged teeth autotransplantation into surgically prepared sites with bone expanders, orthodontic treatment and dental implants. The 3D regeneration of the alveolar process was successfully stimulated by teeth autotra...
