ConclusionFindings highlighted the necessity of comprehensive support from health professionals in achieving positive mealtime experience. Themes in this study indicated that caregivers would benefit from a professional with knowledge in the development and integration of rituals and routines to support positive outcomes. ConclusionThe BOOST‐A™ is a viable and feasible program that has the potential to assist adolescents with autism in preparing for transitioning out of high school. Continuing competence assessment and maintenance in occupational therapy: Scoping review with stakeholder consultation
ConclusionsThis scoping review highlights gaps in research on effective methods and assessment of occupational therapy continuing competence. Findings suggest a need for research on approaches to continuing competence that incorporate the translation of evidence to practice and address the influence of external factors. Regulatory agencies may address the quality of occupational therapy services by incorporating a variety of professional development options into requirements. Validity of the Assistance to Participate Scale with Parents of typically developing Australian children aged three to eight years
ConclusionsResults of this study indicate the APS is a valid and reliable measure of the parental role in a typically developing child's play. Validation upon a typically developing sample offers preliminary guidelines regarding the normative pattern of assistance provided to children during play. Mental health education in occupational therapy professional preparation programs: Alignment between clinician priorities and coverage in university curricula
ConclusionWhile there appears to be overall good alignment between mental health curricula and priorities identified by practising occupational therapists, there are some discrepancies. These discrepancies are described and establish a strong foundation for further discussion between clinicians, academics and university administration to support curriculum review and revision.
