Evaluation of the dermatologic life quality among cleanroom workers in a secondary battery factory
ConclusionsDermatologic life quality among cleanroom workers in the secondary battery factory is shown to be lower than that among non-cleanroom workers in this study. The study suggests that the Skindex-29 may provide helpful information on the dermatologic life quality of cleanroom workers. Therefore, regarding evaluation of dermatologic life quality using Skindex-29, preventive care is necessary for cleanroom workers in ultralow humidity environment. IgA nephropathy in a laboratory worker that progressed to end-stage renal disease: a case report
ConclusionsThe causal association between occupational solvent exposure and IgAN is still unclear; therefore, this case report could be used as a basis to support the relevance of occupational solvent exposure to IgAN and/or its progression. Early intervention as well as close monitoring of laboratory workers exposed to various organic solvents is important to prevent or delay the progression of glomerulonephritis to ESRD in the occupational setting. Modelling levels of nitrous oxide exposure for healthcare professionals during EMONO usage
Conclusions Data demonstrate that EMONO usage in well ventilated rooms – as recommended – helps to ensure that N2O exposure does not exceed the OEL and does not signal any major risks for HCPs when recommendations are followed. Although these data are numerical simulations and should be considered as such, they can provide guidance for EMONO users. (Source: Annals of Occupational and Environmental Medicine)
