New UTS REST API
NLM has developed a beta version of a UMLS REST API along with sample code on github to showcase interacting with the API in common languages such as Python, Perl, and Jav. The beta version supports the most frequently needed use cases such as: term searching, retrieving UMLS CUIs, retrieving information for CUIs and source-asserted identifiers, and extracting subsets. Updated CMT Subset Available for Download
An updated Convergent Medical Terminology (CMT) subset is now available for download. This updated problem list subset includes concepts that Kaiser Permanente uses for documenting History and Family History. There are 1,466 SNOMED CT concepts in the file and includes mappings to ICD-9-CM and ICD-10-CM. SNOMED CT concepts are based on the January 2014 International Release. (Source: UMLS News)

Two SNOMED CT Subsets Released
NLM is pleased to announce the availability of two SNOMED CT subsets: A new Convergent Medical Terminology (CMT) subset called Radiology 1 Procedure Subset, is now available for download. This file contains 408 concepts which Kaiser Permanente uses to place Radiology orders.
