Unique profile of antimicrobial peptide expression in polymorphic light eruption lesions compared to healthy skin, atopic dermatitis, and psoriasis
ConclusionThe unique profile of differentially expressed AMPs in PLE implies a role in the pathophysiology of the disease, possibly directly or indirectly linked to the microbiome of the skin. (Source: Photodermatology, Photoimmunology and Photomedicine)

Photodynamic therapy in the treatment of symptomatic oral lichen planus: A systematic review
ConclusionPDT appears to have some effect in the symptomatic treatment of OLP in adult patients. However, further randomized controlled trials with long follow‐up period, standardized PDT parameters and comparing efficacy of PDT with steroid therapy are warranted to obtain strong conclusions in this regard. This article is protected by copyright. Narrow band UVB effects on cutaneous vitamin D receptor expression and serum 25 ‐hydroxyvitamin D in generalized vitiligo
ConclusionsNB‐UVB phototherapy is associated with improved cutaneous VDR expression and vitamin D synthesis. Better repigmentation response to NB‐UVB may be related to higher baseline VDR expression and its upregulation after phototherapy. This article is protected by copyright. All rights reserved.
