The lived experience: Nurses' experience of caring for patients with a traumatic spinal cord injury
ConclusionThe study highlights the experience and challenges of providing care to these individuals. Although patients had significant physical disabilities and were often dependent physically, the nurses' concerns were directed more towards fulfilling their psychological needs. Nurses identified grieving patients and felt their role was to provide realistic hope to motivate them. The experiences of pre- and in-hospital care in patients with hip fractures: A study based on Critical incidents
ConclusionExperiences of prehospital care shows a positive impact though the patients experienced this part of the pathway professionally. However, the patients described critical incidents according to their experiences of pain seems to have significant damagingly impact on the patients' well-being. Hip fractures among older people in Iceland between 2008 and 2012
Conclusion Although women constitute the majority of elderly with hip fractures, men had higher mortality in our study. Studies are needed to examine factors affecting this gender difference.
