The purpose of this Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) is to support the discovery of promising candidate biomarkers that will facilitate the development of non-opioid therapeutic options for the treatment of pain conditions. The goal of this FOA is to encourage a biomarker discovery process that will result in the development of pain biomarkers that can withstand rigorous clinical and analytical validation.
