Senior publishing executive Frank Vrancken Peeters is to join Springer Nature as Chief Commercial Officer on September 4th. This newly created Management Board level appointment has been established to support the future growth and strategy of the group. Frank will report in the short term to Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Derk Haank and then from October 1st, he will report to the new CEO of Springer Nature, Daniel Ropers. BMC Medicine has become the world’s first clinical research journal to accept Registered Reports, enabling researchers to take a proactive approach towards improving transparency and reproducibility in science.
