Socket-shield technique for the preservation of alveolar ridge. Clinical case report.
This report describes a clinical case of coronary fracture in an upper central incisor that was partially segmented and the vestibular portion of the root was preserved to maintain the architecture of the vestibular cortex; at the same time, a dental implant with immediate provisionalization was placed. After the fixed rehabilitation and with a follow-up of one year, the preservation of the soft peri-implant tissues at the level of the mucosa and bone tissue was evidenced. Elian class 3 regeneration of soft tissue using a laterally moved flap and connective tissue graft. A clinical case report
We describe the clinical case of a 60-year-old female patient, healthy, who presented a 6mm-long recession on tooth 1.1 with extensive vestibular bone loss corresponding to an Elian class 3. Contribution of dental adhesives in the rehabilitation of the edentulous patient. Narrative review.
Conclusion: Dental adhesives have showed an increase in retention, stability, ability and masticatory efficiency in patients with total prostheses, regardless of their presentation. Through its use, it has been demonstrated that total denture wearers have been able to improve their quality of life, even patients with recently installed prostheses. Relationship Between Xerostomia and Hyposalivation in Senior Chilean People
Conclusions: No statistically significant association was found between hyposalivation and xerostomia.
