Effect of Concoction Extraction of the Leaves of Barleria dinteri (Oberm), Grewia flava (DC) and Jatropha lagarinthoides (Sond) on Inherent Antioxidant and Antibacterial Activities
Conclusion: Generally, the EC50 and MIC values of the extracts obtained through concoction extraction were lower than of those obtained by single plant extraction. The results of the current study suggested that concoction extraction of leaves of B. dinteri , G. flava and J. lagarinthoides have enhancing effect on inherent antioxidant and antibacterial activities. Protective Effect of Cymbopogon schoenanthus Extract Against Formalin Hazards in Rats
Conclusion: It is worthy to mention that the rats treated with CS plus formalin showed significant changes in all tested parameters compared with the group received formalin alone. Antibacterial Tests Against Acne in vitro, the Physical Stability and Patch Test using Cream Containing Ethyl p-methoxycinnamate Extracted from Kaempferia galanga L., Rhizoma
Conclusion: The EPMC compound with the 0.6, 1.2 and 2.4% concentration is proven to have MIC against P. acne bacterias, while on the S. aureus and S. epidermidis reaches up to 1.2 and 2.4% concentration. From the results of safety use (pacth test) on 12 subjects there were no evidence of allergic irritation, therefore cream EPMC 1.2% is safe to be used in topical preparation. Antimalarial Activity of the Fractions from Ethanol Extract of Strychnos ligustrina Blume. Wood
Conclusion: Extractive substances of S. ligustrina wood were very potential sources for natural antimalarial drugs. Fractionation ethanol extract of S. ligustrina wood produced fraction F3 and F4 were very active in inhibiting the growth of P. falciparum. These results strongly suggested that F3 and F4 of S. ligustrina wood were potential sources for antimalarial agents.
