Hypertensive Disorders in Pregnancy and the Risk of Subsequent Cardiovascular Disease
ConclusionsWomen with HDP are at increased risk of developing subsequent CVD and hypertension. Similar estimates obtained with the MSM and the time‐fixed analysis suggests that subsequent pregnancies do not confound a first episode of HDP and later CVD. Zika Virus Disease in Children in Colombia, August 2015 to May 2016
ConclusionsOnly a small proportion of reported paediatric ZVD cases in Colombia were hospitalized or had reported neurological conditions following ZVD. However, the potential for some serious outcomes demonstrates the importance of preventing Zika virus infection in children. (Source: Paediatric and Perinatal Epidemiology)

Antenatal Corticosteroid Prophylaxis in Singleton and Multiple Pregnancies
ConclusionsIn this large cohort of preterm infants, both multiples and singletons treated with ANS had a lower risk of mortality, of severe IVH, and of composite outcome of IVH and death, both in the overall sample and in SGA infants. Although ANS effect was weaker in multiples, our results support current recommendations to administer ANS prophylaxis in multiple pregnancies at risk of preterm delivery. Affordability of Fertility Treatments and Multiple Births in the United States
ConclusionIncreasing affordability of fertility treatments may increase state‐specific multiple birth rates. Policies and treatment practices encouraging single‐gestation pregnancies may help reduce multiple births resulting from these treatments. (Source: Paediatric and Perinatal Epidemiology)

Association between PM2.5 and PM2.5 Constituents and Preterm Delivery in California, 2000 –2006
ConclusionsPM2.5 constituents ammonium, nitrate and bromine, often linked to traffic and biomass combustion, were most associated with increased risk of preterm delivery in California. Certain demographic subgroups may be particularly impacted. (Source: Paediatric and Perinatal Epidemiology)
