Identification and characterization of acetyltransferase ‐type toxin‐antitoxin loci in Klebsiella pneumoniae

Overexpression of the toxin gene kacT halted the cell growth and resulted in antibiotics tolerance cell formation. Moreover, the KacAT complex repressed the transcription of its operon via the interactions between the N‐terminus motif of KacA and the palindrome sequence in the promoter region.
