Identification of a GNAT‐RHH type II toxin‐antitoxin loci kacAT in K. pneumoniae. Overexpression of the toxin gene kacT halted the cell growth and resulted in antibiotics tolerance cell formation. Moreover, the KacAT complex repressed the transcription of its operon via the interactions between the N‐terminus motif of KacA and the palindrome sequence in the promoter region.
