The effect of slow versus fast application of vulsellum on pain perception during copper intrauterine device insertion: A randomized controlled trial
Conclusions Slow vulsellum application could reduce the pain scores during IUD insertion as compared with fast vulsellum application. Moreover, it is associated with less amount and duration of bleeding from the vulsellum puncture sites. (Source: Middle East Fertility Society Journal)

Pulmonary embolism and intraperitoneal bleeding in a patient with severe ovarian hyper stimulation syndrome (OHSS): A management dilemma
We describe a case of 33-year-old Bahraini woman who presented to the Bahrain Defense Force Hospital (Banoon Center) with a history of 13 years primary infertility, and previous unsuccessful intrauterine insemination. Through the In-vitro fertilization (IVF) treatment cycle she had Ovarian hyperstimulation which was further complicated with ovarian bleeding and pulmonary embolism. Our case addresses this rare complication and its management challenges related to the event of thromboembolic disease with anticoagulants in the presence of bleeding. Influential effect of age on oocyte morphometry, fertilization rate and embryo development following IVF in mice
Publication date: Available online 12 October 2017 Source:Middle East Fertility Society Journal Author(s): Masoomeh Mohammadzadeh, Farzaneh Fesahat, Arezoo Khoradmehr, Mohammad Ali Khalili Changes of oocyte quality and decreasing of ovarian follicle reserve in advanced age are the major challenges in infertility treatments. One factor associated with aging is the thickness of zona pellucida, which has adverse relation with embryo score. Although, there is no correlation between perivitelline space and granulation with embryo quality, an inversely correlation is observed between these two factors with subsequent embry...
