Myasthenia gravis and psychiatric comorbidities
Conclusion: A high association of psychiatric comorbidities with MG of up to 90% was seen in the current study. The most common psychiatric comorbidities are depressive disorders and anxiety disorders. The disease characteristics for MG are the most common variables to have a significant correlation with the rate of psychiatric comorbidities, especially disease duration and severity. Executive dysfunctions in borderline personality disorder: correlation with suicidality and impulsivity
Conclusion: BPD patients demonstrated impaired performance on the majority of executive function domains, which was associated with their impulsivity risk. These findings suggest the importance of early identification of individuals at risk for executive deficits. Ongoing research on the cognitive functions of BPD patients may contribute to a clearer conceptualization of their conflicted interpersonal relationships and life-threatening behaviors, which may eventually result in more targeted treatments for these patients. Cognitive impairment and electroencephalographic changes in patients with obsessive compulsive disorder
Conclusion: Our sample of Egyptian patients with OCD had significantly lower cognitive performance on several parameters compared with healthy controls, an impairment that positively correlates with both the severity and duration of the illness. Studying medication adherence in patients with schizophrenia: focus on antipsychotic-related factors
Conclusion: The rate of nondrug adherence was relatively high. Females and university educated patients were more adherent to treatment. There was no relation between type of antipsychotic prescribed and drug compliance; however, experiencing motor side effects might be a driving component for nonadherence. This information may help clinicians to make proper interventional decisions to maximize drug adherence. (Source: Middle East Current Psychiatry)

Are there differences in pattern and magnitude of cognitive deficits between euthymic patients with bipolar I and bipolar II disorder?
Conclusion: This study showed differences in severity and pattern of cognitive deficits between BD subtypes, and so the difference is not merely quantitative as confirmed by most of the previous studies. However, there were also qualitative differences in the pattern of executive function deficits, being more extensive in BD-I, which may indicate different biological or genetic etiology between the two BD subgroups. Future researches are needed to support this hypothesis. (Source: Middle East Current Psychiatry)
