Perceptions of HIV-Related Stigma in Portugal Among MSM With HIV Infection and an Undetectable Viral Load
We explored perceptions of HIV-related stigma using  a qualitative approach based on the findings of in-depth e-mail asynchronous interviews with 37 self-identified Portuguese men who have sex with men (MSM) with HIV infection and undetectable viral loads. Participants were asked to answer an online interview. Major findings concerned external perce ptions of HIV-related stigma, HIV status disclosure, the impact of HIV on everyday life, the presence of double discrimination, and general perceptions of HIV-related stigma. Childhood Sexual Abuse in a Population of Patients Living With HIV: Prevalence and Impact
A wealth of evidence has found high rates of childhood sexual abuse (CSA) in the overall population of people living with HIV infection (PLWH; Mugavero et  al., 2007; Whetten et al., 2006). The rates of CSA in PLWH are estimated at 30% to 53% (Willie et al., 2016). There is also evidence that PLWH are disproportionately affected by trauma and posttraumatic stress disorder (Sherr et al., 2011; Wyatt, Myers,& Loeb, 2004). Childhood sexual abuse and trauma are inextricably linked, and the impact of trauma on the lives of PLWH is profound: their outcomes are poor (Mahtinger, Wilson, Herberer& Weiss, 2012b) and they are lik...

HIV-Related Stigma Among Nursing Students Attending a College of Nursing that Promotes Nondiscriminatory Care in India
We examined whether nursing students' stigmatizing attitudes were related to number of years at Bel-Air. At the start of the 2015 and 2016 academic years, 310 Bachelor's (BScN; 4-year program) and 119 Auxiliary Nurse Midwife (ANM; 2-year program) students completed the Zelaya and colleagues (2008) Stigma Scale (24 Likert-type items). Three subscales (Fear, Blame, Personal Discrimination) measured Overall Personal Stigma. (Source: Journal of the Association of Nurses in AIDS Care)

Cultural Adaptation of a Medication Adherence Intervention With Prisoners Living With HIV in Indonesia: A Pragmatic Approach to Intervention Development
We describe a pragmatic approach used to culturally adapt a nurse-led medication adherence intervention, Adherence Through Home Education and Nursing Assessment (ATHENA), for prisoners living with HIV in Indonesia. Researchers reviewed data from completed studies in Indonesia and identified core components of the ATHENA intervention considered essential for effectiveness. Adaptations likely to render ATHENA acceptable and feasible in the Indonesian prison setting were proposed. (Source: Journal of the Association of Nurses in AIDS Care)

Cardiovascular Risk Reduction in Persons Living with HIV: Treatment Development, Feasibility, and Preliminary Results
Persons living with HIV (PLWH) have elevated risks for cardiovascular disease (CVD). Our goal was to develop and pilot test a tailored intervention to improve CVD risk perception and the adoption of heart-healthy behaviors. In-depth qualitative interviews were conducted with 30 PLWH participants to examine learning needs and preferences. An intervention manual was developed and tested in an open pilot with 8 participants. Participants were stable on antiretroviral therapy and were recruited from two urban HIV clinics in the Northeast United States. (Source: Journal of the Association of Nurses in AIDS Care)
