Factors influencing acceptance of robotics in hospital pharmacy: a longitudinal study using the Extended Technology Acceptance Model
ConclusionThis study identified critical insights influencing staff acceptance of pharmacy robots that will help inform future implementation. The influence of pharmacy leaders emerged as key influence on technology acceptance. Leveraging on this influence a communication strategy prior to implementation should include information on useful functions and known benefits of the system customised for individual roles. Prevalence of drugs with constipation ‐inducing potential and laxatives in community‐dwelling older adults in Bahrain: therapeutic implications
ConclusionApproximately a third of prescriptions for older adults had constipation ‐inducing medications, typically a single DAP. Prescribing laxatives were uncommon and did not correlate with the prevalence of prescribing drugs with constipation potential. Physicians' awareness about anticholinergic drugs and their potential risks, and the prophylactic use of laxatives to mitig ate iatrogenic constipation are to be included in continuing professional programmes. Evaluation of the prescribing decision support system Synonyms in a primary care setting: a mixed ‐method study
ConclusionMost respondents were aware of and continued to useSynonyms. Respondents perceivedSynonyms to influence prescribing choices towards local formulary medicines and improve adherence to local prescribing guidelines. Respondents trusted the DSS, but there is potential to increase awareness and training amongst non ‐users to encourage usage. Quality of life of pharmacy students in Northern Nigeria
ConclusionThis study showed that pharmacy students had a fair overall QoL and poor well ‐being in all four domains. Religion, state of residence, year of study, organizations/clubs and current illness/problem were the significant predictors of QoL. Therefore, these findings will be useful in reviewing the training of pharmacy students with a view to improving their well‐being and q uality of pharmacy education.
