ConclusionsTwo years post‐treatment, the stimulated salivary secretion rate was substantially decreased, acid‐tolerant lactobacilli and Candida increased, acid‐sensitive microorganisms decreased, and the caries prevalence was low. (Source: International Journal of Dental Hygiene)

ConclusionsThe results of this study suggest that ultrasonic scaling can cause further damage to teeth with enamel cracks, early caries and resin restorations.
