Multiple nodule removal in multifocal colorectal endometriosis instead of "en bloc" large colorectal resection.
Authors: Roman H, Darwish B, Bridoux V, Huet E, Coget J, Chati R, Tuech JJ, Abo C Abstract Surgical management of colorectal endometriosis follows the principles of two main philosophies or approaches: radical and conservative. The radical approach has recently been recommended in multifocal colorectal endometriosis, which frequently concerns patients with rectal nodules. However, an alternative conservative management could employ selective retrieval of macroscopic colorectal deep endometriosis nodules by bowel shaving and disc excision, with preservation of the mesorectum. The conservative approach is ju...

[Report of the French "conférence nationale de l'échographie obstétricale et fœtale" (CNEOF)-- recommendations for focused prenatal ultrasound].
Authors: Viossat P, Dommergues M, Lansac J Abstract The conference has among its functions, to promote a quality assurance policy for obstetrics and foetal ultrasound scans by participating in the development of an information strategy for the professionals and the public on the interest and limits of these techniques, and in the development of rules for good practice. [Surgery alone or in association with preoperative uterovaginal brachytherapy for stage IB1 cervical cancer: Toxicities profiles].
CONCLUSION: The present study comparing two stage-IB1 cervical cancer treatment strategies found no significant difference in early or late complications. In 2 months, there was greater grade-3 urinary toxicity (21.1%) and sexual disorder (15.8%) with preoperative brachytherapy but no significant difference. Exclusive surgery is probably preferable for the patient's quality of life. PMID: 25986397 [PubMed - in process] (Source: Gynecologie Obstetrique Fertilite)

[Sentinel lymph node-multicentric and multifocal tumors: a valid technique?].
Authors: Houvenaeghel G, Cohen M, Jauffret Fara C, Chéreau Ewald E, Bannier M, Rua Ribeiro S, Buttarelli M, Lambaudie E Abstract Sentinel node biopsy without complementary axillary lymph node dissection was validated for T1-2 N0 unifocal breast cancer without previous treatment since several years. In the situation of multifocal multicentric breast tumors, this procedure was considered as a contraindication. The aim of this work was to analyse literature results to determine if sentinel lymph node biopsy can be considered as a valid option without complementary axillary lymph node dissection for negative...

Authors: Salama S, Boitrelle F, Gauquelin A, Lesaffre C, Thiounn N, Desvaux P Abstract Since Antiquity, women who expulse a large quantity of liquid during sexual stimulation have remained a mystery. This phenomena is usually called "squirting". Many physicians have proposed different explications, however, there are very few scientific publications and their conclusions are discordant. Today, squirting is fashionable in the media, and some recent studies have brought new information. Through medical publications, we present the conclusions concerning the origin and the nature of squirting, the psychologic...
