In vitro fertilization outcomes after ablation of endometriomas using plasma energy: A retrospective case-control study.
CONCLUSION: Ovarian endometrioma ablation using plasma energy is followed by good IVF/ICSI outcomes, suggesting that surgical procedure spares underlying ovarian parenchyma. These results consolidate those of previous studies reporting high spontaneous conception rate. Hence, ovarian endometrioma ablation using plasma energy appears to be a valuable alternative to cystectomy in patients presenting with endometriosis and pregnancy intention. [Simulation' benefits in obstetrical emergency: Which proof level?]
We present a literature review of the results published on the subject in shoulder dystocia, post-partum haemorrhage, eclampsia and cord prolaps with a selection of publications with high evidence level or positive impact of training on obstetrical emergencies. There are few publications with a positive impact of training on obstetrical emergencies. Some publications from 10years by the same obstetrical team for training and shoulder dystocia reveal a 75% reduction in brachial plexus injury after 4years of training, and 100% reduction in permanent injury after a decade of training. Only one publication is in accordance wit...

[Focus on placental transfusion for preterm neonates: Delayed cord clamping and/or milking?]
Authors: Sorin G, Tosello B Abstract Anemia of prematurity remains a common complication despite recent advances in perinatal and neonatal medicine. The delayed cord clamping (at least 30seconds as recommended) has several benefits: increased hemoglobin and hematocrit levels at birth, improved initial hemodynamic, decreased incidence of transfusions and intraventricular hemorrhages. When the birth transition is difficult, wait 30seconds before clamping can be impossible. So as not to interfere with the neonatal resuscitation, the "milking" has been proposed as an alternative method to the delayed cord clam...

[Pertussis: Where do we stand 10years after the introduction of cocooning vaccination strategy in France?]
Authors: Beaufils E, Dommergues MA, Gaillat J, Guiso N, Knezovic-Daniel N, Pinquier D, Riethmuller D Abstract The goals of this article are to review the pertussis cocooning strategy, which has been recommended in France since 2004 to protect infants not yet vaccinated from becoming infected by vaccinating their immediate entourage, and to present room for improvement. The analysis of the literature between 2004 and 2015 shows that pertussis vaccine coverage in new parents is lower than 50% and that attempts that have already been implemented to increase it are effective. Pertussis vaccine coverage improve...

[Repeated in vitro fertilization failure: Abnormalities identified in the diagnostic assessment].
CONCLUSION: The diagnostic assessment carried out for recurrent IVF failure can detect biological, karyotypic and morphological abnormalities, in the same proportion that in previous studies. Further studies will have to be conducted to evaluate the real impact of these abnormalities in the recurrent implantation failure and the effectiveness of therapeutic care. [Anatomical consideration for the technique of nerve-sparing during radical hysterectomy for cervical cancer].
Authors: Balaya V, Ngo C, Rossi L, Cornou C, Bensaid C, Douard R, Bats AS, Lecuru F Abstract Radical hysterectomy (RH) is an effective treatment for early-stage cervical cancer IA2 to IIA1 but RH is often associated with several significant complications such as urinary, anorectal and sexual dysfunction due to pelvic nerve injuries. Pelvic autonomic nerves including the superior hypogastric plexus (SHP), hypogastric nerves (HN), pelvic splanchnic nerves (PSN), sacral splanchnic nerves (SSN), inferior hypogastric plexus (IHP) and efferent branches of the IHP. We aimed to precise the neuroanatomy of the fema...

[Before surgery predictability of malignant ovarian tumors based on ADNEX model and its use in clinical practice].
CONCLUSION: In our study, a lower cut-off for younger women seemed better suited to discriminate borderline tumours. In practice, the ADNEX score associated with the peroperative laparoscopic examination seems to be the best way to use the ADNEX model. Our study showed that the ADNEX model allows a good predictability of malignant ovarian tumours. The predictability becomes less satisfying for the youngest patients. A cut-off malignity value allowing surgical treatment of patients in a specialised facility was reached for two age groups: a cut-off of 5% for women under 42 years old and a cut-off of 10% for women over 43 ye...
