Comparison of Bone Uptake in Bone Scan and Ga-68 PSMA PET/CT Images in Patients with Prostate Cancer.
CONCLUSION: Ga-68 PSMA PET/CT provides an additional contribution to the BS evaluation of activity areas because of the presence of PSMA expression and anatomical lesions. In 6% of the patients, activity on BS and metastatic appearance in CT images were observed and the presence of lesions in the absence of PSMA was determined. This suggests that bone metastases without PSMA expression may also be present. PMID: 32008568 [PubMed - in process] (Source: Current Medical Imaging Reviews)

A Rare Non-penetrant Abdominal Wall Injury Caused by High-pressure Water: A Case Report.
CONCLUSION: The water jet can cause a wide subcutaneous injury by following the peritoneum even though there is a small entrance. Therefore radiological imaging can help to determine their severity and planning treatment. PMID: 32008570 [PubMed - in process] (Source: Current Medical Imaging Reviews)

Cardiovascular Imaging for Guiding Interventional Therapy in Structural Heart Diseases.
Authors: Rat N, Muntean I, Opincariu D, Gozar L, Togănel R, Chițu M Abstract Development of interventional methods has revolutionized the treatment of structural cardiac diseases. Given the complexity of structural interventions and the anatomical variability of various structural defects, novel imaging techniques have been implemented in the current clinical practice for guiding the interventional procedure and for selection of the device to be used. Three- dimensional echocardiography is the most used imaging method that has improved the threedimensional assessment of cardiac structures, and it has con...

Intracoronary Imaging for Assessment of Vascular Healing and Stent Follow-up in Bioresorbable Vascular Scaffolds.
Authors: Florin Ferent I, Mester A, Hlinomaz O, Groch L, Rezek M, Sitar J, Semenka J, Novak M, Benedek I Abstract Bioresorbable Vascular Scaffolds (BVS) are polymer-based materials implanted in the coronary arteries in order to treat atherosclerotic lesions, based on the concept that once the lesion has been treated, the material of the implanted stent will undergo a process of gradual resorption that will leave, in several years, the vessel wall smooth, free of any foreign material and with its vasomotion restored. However, after the first enthusiastic reports on the efficacy of BVSs, the recently publish...

The Role of Atrial Fibrosis Detected by Delayed - Enhancement MRI in Atrial Fibrillation Ablation.
CONCLUSION: Our analysis suggests that more extensive left atrial wall fibrosis prior ablation predicts the higher arrhythmia recurrence rate after PVI. The DE-CMR imaging modality seems to be a useful method for identifying the ideal candidate for catheter ablation. Our findings encourage wider usage of DE-CMR in distinct AF patients in a pre-ablation setting. PMID: 32003313 [PubMed - in process] (Source: Current Medical Imaging Reviews)
