Cognitive scores as a potential diagnostic tool in schizophrenia: The use of raw and discrepancy scores
ConclusionsResults suggest that cognitive scores are useful and accurate when discriminating and classifying patients with SZ and HC in the present sample. Raw scores were shown to be more accurate than DS in patients with SZ and to present good diagnostic properties especially regarding verbal memory measures. Obtained indices support the use of cognitive scores as diagnostic criterion in the diagnosis of SZ. (Source: Clinical Psychologist)

The buffer role of psychological flexibility against the impact of major life events on depression symptoms
ConclusionsThis study highlights the buffer role of psychological flexibility on the association of number of major life events and their negative appraisal, with depression symptoms. These findings suggest that being able to be in contact with the present moment with an accepting and non ‐judging attitude towards internal experiences, and to engage in valued‐based action, may protect individuals against the negative impact of major life events with regards to depression symptoms. “Some guidance and somewhere safe”: Caregiver and clinician perspectives on service provision for families of young people experiencing serious suicide ideation and attempt
ConclusionsResults highlight that addressing the unmet support and information needs of caregivers may be of benefit to all (both the caregivers and the young person in their care). The lived experience of caregivers in this study indicates the significant stressors placed on them (especially when the young person they are supporting is at high risk of suicide), and the need to develop efficient and cost ‐effective ways to enhance their perceived competence and skills. Implications are discussed for practitioners working with young people experiencing ongoing suicidal ideation. (Source: Clinical Psychologist)

Ten ‐session cognitive behaviour therapy for eating disorders: Outcomes from a pragmatic pilot study of Australian non‐underweight clients
ConclusionResults support the effectiveness of CBT ‐T as a treatment for non‐underweight eating disorder clients.
