A prospective randomized controlled trial of the two ‐window technique without membrane versus the solo‐window technique with membrane over the osteotomy window for maxillary sinus augmentation
ConclusionsThe two‐window technique obtained comparative maturation of the grafted volume even without membrane coverage, and is a viable alternative for the rehabilitation of severely atrophic posterior maxillae with multiple missing posterior teeth. A prospective, split ‐mouth study comparing tilted implants with angulated connection versus conventional implants with angulated abutment
ConclusionAn implant with angulated connection may results in a stronger connection but does not affect the marginal bone loss. No difference in MBL was seen between implants restored on abutment or implant level. Zirconia seems to reduce the amount of plaque. (Source: Clinical Implant Dentistry and Related Research)

Short dental implants as compared to maxillary sinus augmentation procedure for the rehabilitation of edentulous posterior maxilla: Three ‐year results of a randomized clinical study
ConclusionsIn spite of comparable medium‐term clinical and radiographic outcomes, when the residual ridge height is sufficient for a safe placement, SIs may be preferred due to simplified protocol, less invasiveness, shorter treatment time, and reduced postoperative discomfort as compared to SA. Comparison of peri ‐implant clinical and radiographic status around short (6 mm in length) dental implants placed in cigarette‐smokers and never‐smokers: Six‐year follow‐up results
ConclusionUnder strict oral hygiene maintenance protocols, short dental implants can remain functionally stable in CS in a manner similar to NS. (Source: Clinical Implant Dentistry and Related Research)
