Downregulation of lncRNA OIP5 ‐AS1 inhibits breast cancer progression by targeting SOX2 via miRNA‐129‐5p upregulation
This study investigated the role of the lncRNA OIP5‐AS1 in the progression of breast cancer. OIP5‐AS1 was significantly upregulated in breast cancer tissues and breast cancer cell lines, and OIP5‐AS1 downregulation inhibited the malignant be haviors of breast cancerin vitro andin vivo. For the depth exploration of mechanism of OIP5 ‐AS1 in breast cancer, we found that miR‐129‐5p which was found had bind sites in the sequence of OIP5‐AS1, expression in breast cancer tissues was negatively correlated with OIP5‐AS1 and luciferase assays indicated that OIP5‐AS1 acted as miR‐129‐5p sponge, resulting in upr...

Functionally impaired follicular helper T cells induce regulatory B cells and CD14+ human leukocyte antigen ‐DR− cell differentiation in non‐small cell lung cancer
Non ‐small cell lung cancer patients have high levels of Tfh cells, especially Tfh2 and Tfh17 subtypes, but Tfh cells from NSCLC patients have impaired function of IL‐21 production and Tfh cells induced the differentiation of regulatory B cells and CD14+ HLA ‐DR− cells. Non ‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) represents one of the most common and aggressive cancers worldwide, as it typically displays irreversible progression and poor prognosis. Interaction between programmed death 1 (PD‐1) and its ligand, PD‐L1, plays important roles in tumor immunology. Follicular h elper T (Tfh) cells have characteristically hi...

Phosphorylation of serine/arginine ‐rich splicing factor 1 at tyrosine 19 promotes cell proliferation in pediatric acute lymphoblastic leukemia
In conclusion, we identify for the first time that the phosphorylation state of SRSF1 is linked to different phases in pediat ric ALL. The Tyr‐19 phosphorylation of SRSF1 disrupts its subcellular localization and promotes proliferation in leukemia cells by driving cell‐cycle progression. Inhibitors targeting Tie2 kinase that could catalyze Tyr‐19 phosphorylation of SRSF1 offer a promising therapeutic target for treat ment of pediatric ALL. (Source: Cancer Science)

Pattern and prognostic value of FLT3 ‐ITD mutations in Chinese de novo adult acute myeloid leukemia
A total of 227 FLT3 ‐ITD sequences were analyzed from 227 Chinese adult de novo acute myeloid leukemia (AML) patients. ITD could be classified into 3 types based on molecular profiles. ITD integration sites in the hinge region or beta1‐sheet region are an unfavorable prognostic factor in adult AML patients with FLT 3‐ITD mutations. FMS ‐like tyrosine kinase 3 (FLT3) is one of the most frequently mutated genes in hematological malignancies.FLT3 internal tandem duplication (FLT3‐ITD) mutations located in juxtamembrane domain (JMD) and tyrosine kinase domain 1 (TKD1) regions account for two‐thirds of allFLT3 mutat...

T cell receptor β‐chain repertoire analysis of tumor infiltrating lymphocytes in pancreatic cancer
This study aimed to test the relationship between the TCR β repertoire of the tumor and peripheral blood, and also to investigate the intra‐tumor spatial heterogeneity of the TCR β repertoire in pancreatic cancer. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first study to evaluate the clonal composition of TCR β repertoire in TILs across the spatial ext ent of pancreatic cancer. In this study, we studied five patients who were diagnosed with primary pancreatic cancer. Ultra ‐deep sequencing was used to assess the rearrangement of the TCR β‐chain (TCR β) gene. HE staining and immunohistochemistry of CD3, CD4, CD8 an...

Exploration of resistance mechanisms for epidermal growth factor receptor ‐tyrosine kinase inhibitors based on plasma analysis by digital polymerase chain reaction and next‐generation sequencing
Quantitation of T790M in plasma is a clinically relevant approach to determine the T790M status of tumors. Liquid biopsy offers a potential alternative to tissue biopsy for detection of genetic alterations in cancer, and it has been introduced into clinical practice to detect the tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI) resistance ‐conferring T790M mutation of epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) in patients with non ‐small‐cell lung cancer (NSCLC). We prospectively collected tumor and plasma samples from 25 NSCLC patients who harbored activating mutations ofEGFR and experienced failure of treatment with afatinib. The samp...
