A 20 ‐year analysis of implant treatment in an Australian public dental clinic
ConclusionImplant treatment completed in this public sector clinic using finite resources and a defined system of patient and restorative selection criteria demonstrated a high known implant survival rate. Investigation of the effect of rapid and slow external pH increases on Enterococcus faecalis biofilm grown on dentine
ConclusionE. faecalis did not adapt and develop a greater resistance to high pH following a slow rise in pH compared with a rapid rise in pH. As expected, pH 12.5 was more effective in reducing bacterial numbers compared to pH 11.5 although E. faecalis was not completely eliminated. This article is protected by copyright. In vitro fracture strength and patterns in root ‐filled teeth restored with different base materials
ConclusionsThe four materials were appropriate intermediate bases. The laminate restorative technique promoted fracture strengths that are likely to withstand normal and maximum masticatory function. The base material can influence failure mode, which may have implications for the clinical presentation of fractures of root‐filled teeth. (Source: Australian Dental Journal)
