Global civil society group pushes for resources to deliver results at two-day workshop

Survey: Evaluation of the Independent Accountability Panel
The  Independent Accountability Panel (IAP) works to support the Every Woman Every Child (EWEC) movement. Reaching the hard to reach: How to make universal health coverage a reality for all

IPU resolution on universal health coverage a boost for women ’s, children’s and adolescents’ health
The 141st Assembly of the Inter Parliamentary Union has adopted the landmark resolution “Achieving Universal Health Coverage by 2030: the role of Parliaments in ensuring the right to health,” notching up another milestone in reaching the ambitious target of universal health coverage (UHC). PMNCH, a member of the IPU Advisory Group on Health, played an important role in advocating for women ’s, newborns’, children’s and adolescents’ health and well-being to be central to the resolution through public statements, events and strategic advocacy. Nigeria: Implementing the Advocating for Change for Adolescents Toolkit
As an advocacy fellow at EVA, I have been able to use the toolkit to push for the implementation of laws and policies that uphold the rights to health of adolescents and young people. For instance, in Niger State, Nigeria, I participated in an advocacy visit to the State Primary Healthcare Development Board to discuss the specific inclusion of adolescents and young people as beneficiaries of the Basic Health Care Provision Fund. Workshop: Strengthening evidence use for action and accountability in women ’s, children’s and adolescent’s health

Implementing the Every Newborn Action Plan: Take the survey
The global Every Newborn Action Plan (ENAP) provides a road map of evidenced-based and strategic actions to end preventable newborn mortality and stillbirth, and contribute to reducing maternal mortality and morbidity, and disabilities by 2030. We cannot meet these 2030 global goals without the acceleration of the implementation of ENAP.
